The better the texel rate, the better the video card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). This figure is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied per second. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions. The better the card's memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. In the case of DDR RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. The number is calculated by multiplying the bus width by the speed of its memory. Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the maximum amount of data (measured in MB per second) that can be transported past the external memory interface within a second.
